Sergio Ibarra, age 54, passed away on March 29, 2026, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on September 20, 1971, in Santa Maria, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, to Jose Guadalupe Reveles and Longina Ibarra.
Sergio was a graduate of high school and went on to earn a college degree. He was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent many years as a chef at Peking Palace in Fort Smith. His passion for cooking extended beyond the kitchen into his love of gardening, where he took great pride in growing and harvesting peppers. In his free time, Sergio enjoyed watching and playing soccer, especially during his younger years.
A man of the Catholic faith, Sergio will be remembered for his loving and fun spirit. He was a devoted brother, a proud father and grandfather, and someone who consistently put others before himself. Following the passing of his father, Sergio stepped up to support his family, a true reflection of his selfless and caring nature.
He is survived by his mother, Longina Ibarra; his children, Jordan Anderson and her spouse Luis Martinez, and Cynthia Harper; his grandchildren, Emmett, Emiliano, Elias, AmiyahKay, and Emmalyn; his siblings, Oscar, Cesar, Jose Guadalupe, Carmen, and Elena; his nieces and nephews, Yamille, Eduardo, Brianna, Alex, Gabriel, Jose, Emily, Jessica, Carmen , Cristina, Alma, Gloria, Karina, Selene, Victoria, Nahomi, Ivon, and Daniel; along with a host of extended family and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Guadalupe Reveles, and his nephew, Daniel.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Lewis Funeral Chapel, located at 4817 Kelley Highway in Fort Smith. The funeral mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Christ The King Catholic Church in Fort Smith. Services are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
