Shirley Jean Henry, 74, of Rudy, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her home on January 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Shirley was born on October 4, 1951, in Pasadena, California, to Kathalyn Milroy Torres and Norman Norton. Throughout her life, Shirley carried a deep love for family, faith, and the simple joys that brought people together. She married her beloved husband, Charles Henry, on September 25, 1993, and together they shared a devoted and loving marriage. Shirley earned her GED and worked faithfully as a CNA and caregiver, roles that reflected her compassionate spirit and natural desire to care for others.
In her free time, Shirley found joy in photography, painting, puzzles, playing Scrabble, and camping. She loved being outdoors and had a deep appreciation for nature. A woman of Christian faith, she lived her life guided by love, generosity, and a spirit of service. Above all else, Shirley will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, and adoring grandmother who treasured her family. She loved cooking for others, welcoming people into her home, and creating memories that will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
Shirley was a proud mother to Charlotta Ferguson, Joseph Auterson, Amie Myers, and Erin Myers; her thirteen grandchildren: James, Jeff, Jason, Karen, Damien, Greg, Araia, Shaun, Kaydee, Draydn, Thorian, and Erralyn; and thirteen great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Shirley is also survived by her brother, Ronnie Norton, as well as numerous extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kathalyn and Adolf Torres, and Norman Norton; as well as her siblings Gordon Norton, Jess Norton, Bob Norton, and Greg Norton.
A private family ceremony will be held at her home, and cremation is under the care of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
