Tara Deawn (Kuykendall) McClendon

Tara Deawn Kuykendall-McClendon, 51, peacefully entered her heavenly home on February 9, 2025. Born on September 25, 1973, in Fort Smith to Teresa Killian Franklin and Dennis Michael Kuykendall, Tara was a beloved daughter and sister.
After graduating from Starmount High School in North Carolina, Tara attended Westark University. She had a love for arts and crafts and enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially tending to her garden. Above all, Tara was a loving mother and grandmother, creating lasting memories with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Teresa Killian Franklin and Dennis Michael Kuykendall.
Tara is survived by her ex-husband and the father of her children, Kirby McClendon; her four children: Alexa "Jaelyn" McClendon, Isley Olivia McClendon, Maddax Q. Hine, and stepson Darion McClendon; her three grandchildren: Iyellie J Duarte, Matalasi H. Lemeutu, and Mataio J. Lemeutu; her siblings, Dennis Kuykendall Jr., Christina Pianalto Kuykendall, and Drew Kuykendall; as well as her nephews and nieces, Kannon Kuykendall, Kaiden Kuykendall, and Grace Kuykendall.
A memorial service will be held on February 22, 2025, at 11:00a.m. at Joy Life Kingdom in Moffet, Oklahoma to celebrate Tara's life and the love she shared with all who knew her.
Tara would like all who knew and loved her to remember this poem when thinking of her: Please look for me in the present, you won't find me in the past. There may be some wonderful memories there, but memories don't last. I'm here in every moment, I'm here in every breath you take, I'm constantly watching over you, I watch every decision you make.
