Thomas Arthur Fudge, lovingly known as “Grampa Choo Choo,” passed away on March 18, 2026, at the age of 78, at his home in Huntington, Arkansas.
He was born on December 11, 1947, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Thomas Elmo Fudge and Johnnie Aline (Robertson) Fudge. Thomas grew up with strong family values that stayed with him throughout his life. Thomas shared 34 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Marija Fudge, whom he married on December 28, 1991. Together, they built a life centered on love and family.
He worked for Union Pacific Railroad and was a proud member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen. His career reflected his dedication and strong work ethic. Thomas found great happiness in the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman; spending many peaceful hours enjoying nature. Above all, Thomas will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He never met a stranger and had a big, loving heart; making those around him feel welcome and cared for.
He is survived by his wife, Marija Fudge; his four children, LeeAnn Fudge, Carl Thomas Fudge, Lee Holdren, and Ryan Holdren; and his six grandchildren, Chance Hunter Thomas Fudge, Bryce Fudge, Andrew Fudge, Daniel Holdren, Kayla Holdren, and Marc Holdren; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Elmo Fudge and Johnnie Aline Fudge; and his siblings, Carl Ernest Fudge and Reba Aline Jones.
There will be no services held at this time; cremation is under the care of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
