Thongvay Voradeth, 67, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Born in Ban Thouat, Savannakhet, Laos, she was a cherished daughter of Chane Vongprachanh and Ajan Poo Vongprachanh.
Thongvay shared a beautiful life with her husband, Somphou Bounthavi Voradeth, building a family and creating a legacy of love and kindness. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including gardening, cooking, and cherishing moments with her grandchildren. Thongvay will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a doting grandmother whose kind spirit touched everyone around her.
Thongvay is survived by six children, Thea Fleming and spouse John Fleming; Sangthong Voradeth; Ling Sengthoumma and spouse Bounyasith Sengthoumma; Aenoy Moua and spouse David Moua; Kimberly Voradeth and spouse Dennis Sayvongsa; Mary Inpeng and spouse Thomas Inpeng; fifteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her siblings, Somphone Voradeth, and Soutchai Vongprachanh.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ajan Poo Vongprachanh and Chane Vongprachanh; and her husband, Somphou Voradeth.
Blessing Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025, and Friday, January 10, 2025, at Lewis Funeral Chapel, located at 4817 Kelley Hwy in Fort Smith, AR 72904. The Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025, also at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers will be Dennis Sayvongsa, Johnni Xaysanasy, John Fleming, Bounyasith Sengthoumma, Hoa Tran, and Phayvanh Phakoxay.
