Veronica Smith, age 55, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday. January 28, 2026. She was born on August 11, 1970, in Bakersfield, California, and was a beloved daughter of Cotis and Sandra (Duran) Smith.

Veronica found great joy in baking and cooking for her friends and family, a love she shared generously with those around her. In her quiet moments, she also enjoyed sewing, a pastime that reflected her creativity and care for others.

Veronica is survived by her 2 loving sisters, Denise Reed and Deannia Smith; two nieces, Jazreel and Tarynn; as well as a nephew, Kobe. She is preceded in passing by her parents, Cotis and Sandra (Duran) Smith.

There is no services scheduled at this time. Cremation is under the thoughtful care of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
