Wanda Jean Pearson

Wanda Jean (Loomis) Pearson, age 74, passed away peacefully at her home in Roland, Oklahoma, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. She was born on March 29, 1951, in Vancouver, Washington, to Elmo Valentine Loomis and Emma Lucille Wright.

Wanda dedicated much of her life to caring for others, both professionally and personally. She enjoyed a long career in housekeeping and retired from Baptist Health in 2007. In her free time, she delighted in traveling, shopping, arts and crafts, reading, and collecting just about anything that caught her interest. She especially enjoyed diamond painting and listening to audiobooks, often losing herself in a good story or creative project.

Family meant everything to Wanda. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cared deeply for those around her. She welcomed everyone with open arms and a generous heart, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer kind words. To many, she was more than family—she was a source of comfort, support, and unconditional love.

Wanda is survived by her four children: Leah Wilson and husband Chris of Roland, OK; Jeannie Smith of Muldrow, OK; Bobbie Villines and husband Brandon of Muldrow, OK; and Duston Coody and wife Tracy of Muldrow, OK. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Vincent Marr, Veronica Lewis, Emily Goolsby, Chandler Goolsby, Lacey Inman, Katelynn Inman, William Villines, Luke Villines, Derek Mitchell, and Kyle Johnson; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Phillip Loomis of Pine Bluff, AR; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmo and Lucille Loomis; two sons, Larry Andring and Alex Garris; three brothers, Bobby Loomis, Ronnie Loomis, and Richard Loomis; and two sisters, Sharon Loomis and Wilma Blasingame.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Chapel, 4817 Kelley Hwy, Fort Smith, AR 72904. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 2:00 p.m., also at the funeral chapel. Interment will take place at Upper Camp Creek Cemetery in Muldrow, OK. Officiating the service will be Gus Calvo. Pallbearers will include Gary Lewis, Duston Coody, Derek Mitchell, William Villines, Kyle Johnson, and Chris Wilson. Vincent Marr will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Services are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
