Lance Glenn

Lance Glenn

Funeral Director/Co-Owner

Lance Glenn, a compassionate funeral director at Lewis Funeral Chapel and a member of the Senior Care Alliance Board, has dedicated his career to supporting grieving families with care and professionalism. A 2002 graduate of Ringling High School in Oklahoma, Lance pursued an associate degree in business management from Murray State College in 2004 and a bachelor’s degree in Mortuary Science from the University of Oklahoma Central in 2006. His journey in funeral services began with an apprenticeship in Ardmore, Oklahoma, where he honed his skills and discovered his calling. In 2017, Lance married Stephanie, and together they share two daughters, Madison Watkins and Riley Beneux. Riley and her husband Logan have further enriched their lives with the joy of their first granddaughter, Isabella. Beyond his professional commitments, Lance enjoys watching college football and spending quality time with his cherished family and friends, embodying a balance of dedication to his work and personal life.

Riley Beneux, a compassionate professional from Van Buren, Arkansas, is a Funeral Director dedicated to supporting families during their most challenging moments. A 2018 graduate of Van Buren High School, Riley pursued her passion for science, earning a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Arkansas Fort Smith in May 2023. In 2020, she married her partner Logan, and together they are raising their beloved daughter, Bella.

Administrative Assistant/Funeral Apprentice

Sydney Taylor, born and raised in Fort Smith, Arkansas, is the Administrative Assistant and Funeral Apprentice dedicated to making a difference in the funeral industry. A proud graduate of Northside High School, Sydney is currently studying Funeral Services at the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Services in Houston, Texas, through online courses, allowing her to gain invaluable hands-on experience while learning. Beyond her professional pursuits, Sydney enjoys immersing herself in a good book, exploring the outdoors, and cherishing quality time with her partner and beloved cat. With a passion for learning and a commitment to her career, Sydney is on a path to becoming a compassionate and skilled funeral professional.

Ashton Chronister is a licensed funeral director. Ashton has worked in the funeral business industry for 5 years. He started out working for his family's burial vault business and later joined Lewis Funeral Chapel. Ashton is passionate, caring, and trustworthy. He is devoted in taking the best care of families and their loved ones during the bereavement process and will guide and support you every step of the way.


Zenda Rutherford-Dodson

Administrative Assistant/Funeral Apprentice

Zenda Rutherford-Dodson's journey began in Roland, Oklahoma, and has led her to make a profound impact in Greenwood, Arkansas. Fueled by her unwavering commitment to enriching lives, Zenda has dedicated her work to serving others. She spent her early years at the Fort Smith Girls Club, inspiring and empowering young girls to embrace their full potential. Today, as a valued member of the Lewis Funeral Chapel team, her primary focus is on providing compassionate support to families during their most challenging times.

Zenda and her husband, Stan, find spiritual nourishment at The Porch Church in Fort Smith, where their faith is deepened. They share a special bond with their senior church group, the O.W.L.S. (Older, Wiser, Livelier, Saints), cherishing the wisdom and connection through living life and fellowship with them.

Family holds a special place in Zenda's heart, and she eagerly embraces any opportunity to be part of their lives. Her passions extend to cooking, leatherworking, sewing, and crafting beautiful flower arrangements. Above all, Zenda finds immense fulfillment in creating one-of-a-kind gifts for her loved ones, as a tangible expression of her care and affection.


Michael Grosskreuz

Funeral Assistant

Michael Grosskreuz is a dedicated professional with a remarkable career in law enforcement and security. Having grown up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Michael joined the U.S. Air Force at the age of 18, serving as a Law Enforcement Specialist for 10 years. Following his military service, Michael relocated to Fort Smith, Arkansas, where he embarked on a 20-year journey with the Sebastian County Sheriff's Department. During this time, he worked in various roles, including the Detention Center, 911 Dispatch, Patrol Deputy, and Evidence Custodian. After leaving the Sheriff's Department, Michael furthered his expertise by working for the Department of Homeland Security as a TSA Officer and as a Security Coordinator for USA Truck. His commitment to public safety extends beyond his professional life, as he enjoys watching sports, particularly supporting the Green Bay Packers, and engages in running and hiking during his spare time.
